Should it stay or should it go – the t-shirt edit

I’m a longtime fan of the jeans and t-shirt look.

It’s not only comfy as, but it’s also incredibly versatile. You can glam it up with heels and some bling for a night out, or you can dress it down for a more casual and classic look.

You have to get it right though because a t-shirt paired with the wrong jeans, or vice versa, can turn your outfit from uber chic to dagsville in less than 60 seconds.

When we lived in the UK, a funky pair of jeans and t-shirt (plus a massive coat) was my wardrobe staple. I bought some great tees during our overseas stint and collected quite a few souvenir t-shirts.

As you know though, Dave is wanting me to downsize my wardrobe, so I’ve chosen a few I could, can, will, possibly, maybe, not really get rid of. Ahem.

All of the tees below, and a few going out tops for good measure, are ones I bought in the UK. We left the UK in 2005 and I’ve not worn them since.

I like 3, 4 and 7. But I can understand why you don’t wear 7 much because of the low cut. Could you wear a navy cami/ singlet under it to keep the girls covered? πŸ˜‰
I too find it hard to give away clothes that hold good memories for me. X

My motto with clothing is if it’s a maybe, it’s a no. If you are even contemplating not keeping these then it tells me you don’t need them or you wont choose them when you’re getting dressed. Get rid of them all. If I was to keep any, it would be no. 7 because I like the colours and it could be worn casually or dressed up for work or a dinner out. Can you be this brutal, that is the question?

Keep 3 and 4 if you’ll wear them, chuck them if you won’t. And goodbye to the rest because your cons lists suggest you’ll never wear them again. I agree that the low cut one would work with a cami underneath – it’s gorgeous! Cami underneath, super slim black pants and to-die-for heels – actually, keep that one too!!

I would keep the blue vespa tee. Thats my fav. Whilst all of these hold many memories, you haven’t worn them in 10 years and keeping one might at least keep the memories of all of them for you. Also you can pass it down to one of your girls. There is nothing cooler than a vintage tee when you are a teenager.
