Win a family pass to Cinderella

The kids (and my daughter’s teacher) tell me there’s just nine school days left until the holidays here in Brisbane. Eek!! Is it just me or did this term zoom past?

I’m working my usual hours over the holidays, which means I will have just one free day per week with the girls. The girls have told me we need to do something super awesome, fun, absolutely excellent and really good on these days. No pressure!

We’ve thrown around a few ideas for what to do on these two ‘Mummy Days’. There’s been suggestions of a beach day, pool day, a trip to Dreamworld, South Bank, an iPad Day (keep dreaming Miss Four) or a home day.

When I suggested a special girls’ morning out to see Fame Theatre Company’s Cinderella, I was met with extremely high pitched squeals of delight.

Cinderella Fame Theatre Company
It’s become a school holiday tradition for the girls and me to see a Fame performance. Our first was Sleeping Beauty this time last year and in the July holidays we saw Snow White and the Seven Little Men.

The Fame shows are always so much fun. The costumes are colourful and there is plenty of catchy songs and dancing. My girls love that the actors are kids just like them. The best part of all though is that the ‘scary’ character in the performance is really not scary at all – perfect for my two girls who scare easily.

The Evil Queen in the Snow White and the Seven Little Men performance absolutely stole the show. She was a hoot and the girls couldn’t get enough of her. They were in fits of giggles.

Fame always offers such a fun and refreshing twist on fairy tales. They’ve really done well to cater their performances to little kids.

We know that Cinderella is going to be just as awesome as the last two performances, so we want to share the Fame love.

Fame Theatre Company has kindly offered to give away a free family pass (four tickets) to see Cinderella these school holidays.

Cinderella opens on Tuesday 19 September at the Queensland Multicultural Centre with shows daily at 10am & 1pm until Saturday 23 September.

I love taking my kids to live theatre. We saw Room on the Broom a while back.

I hear you on the school holidays thing – I’ve also only got one day per week this time around!

Having just been to Disney, I’m more obsessed with all the princesses and all the stage shows – although have to say, I missed out on the Frozen show this time. Do they go on tour? I bet my little god daughter would love to accompany me if the show came to Sydney?!

I don’t believe they go on tour, but I’m sure you’ll find something just as good in Sydney. I can’t wait to take the girls to Disney one day!

This sounds like heaps of fun, I can’t wait til my girls are old enough {i..e. have enough patience} to do things like this.

Those shows sounds great, too bad I’m not in Brisbane! Hope you enjoy the school holidays, we’ve still got a couple more weeks to go here in Melbourne before the end of Term 3. Crazy to think how fast this year is going by! #teamIBOT
